The number of investors who want to buy up property in Spain and Florida has increased, according to research by

According to the findings from the independent website for international property, Florida has become a hotbed for property investors.

Property moguls have been attracted to the area because of the number of low-cost properties on offer and the fact that Disneyland Orlando attracts droves of visitors every year.

The monthly Investment Watch report, found a large number of investors are looking at new Florida town houses just two miles from the world famous resort.

The new builds, which were constructed in 2007, have seen prices fall by a third and investors are keen to capitalise on the holiday market by securing buy-to-let properties.

The Move Channel director Dan Johnson commented: "The demand for Florida's Disney homes was always going to be high - the combination of location, price and commercial opportunity is hard to beat.”

Florida has topped the Investment Watch rankings for the second consecutive month. London and Cheshire also experienced a rise in investor interest, taking the eighth and ninth spots respectively.

Florida is not the only location to come under the property investor’s radar; Spain has been tipped as another hot spot for residential investment.

As the Eurozone debt crisis weakens the value of the Euro, a number of property investors are securing holiday homes in Spain before the currency gains strength.

Recent figures from Skyscanner found that Spain is still the number one holiday destination for Brits.
