Currencies in Africa - South African Rand, Kenyan Shilling, Ghanaian Cedi

Why use a broker instead of a bank

South African Rand, Kenyan Shilling, Ghanaian Cedi

The main currencies of note in terms of being the most liquid and therefore the most 'deliverable' are of course the South African Rand, Kenyan Shilling, Ghanaian Cedi, and a few others we'll go into detail over the coming weeks.

The 'spreads' that are often quoted to clients on these currency pairs are often quite prohibitive however clients generally have no other option apart from taking the quote they are provided with. We will make sure the rate you are provided with is consistent and competitive. The rate we provide won't be as tight as that on EUR/USD for example simply due to how the currencies are priced however you will receive a better rate of exchange than you are probably currently receiving from your bank and we'll make the process nice and straightforward for you.

If you convert from GBP into Rand then the rates of exchange are very attractive at the moment. You would be looking at over the 15 level. If there are currencies you require rates on please contact our trading team to ask for a quote.
