New BA Flights may impact Alicante property sales

How can compare money transfer save you money

As more and more factors seem to be pulling the prospects of a recovery in the Spanish property market in different directions, it is increasingly difficult to predict what 2013 holds for the country when it comes to appealing to overseas investors.

Of course interest in the country as a holiday destination isn't diminishing in anyway, and the lure of the favourites such as the Costa del Sol and the Costa Brava continue to sway figures when it comes to domestic property sales.

With British Airways launching a series of new flights to Spain, another aspect is included in the complex mix.

Many observers are wondering whether more access to some of the most popular tourist hotspots will encourage a further revival in British buyers taking advantage of prices that are still a long way off their peaks of 2007.

British Airways is set to run 17 flights per week from London Gatwick to Alicante from 31 March, increasing to 21 flights per week for July, August and September.

As Gatwick is already an extremely popular airport for British residents looking for a getaway that avoids the often overcrowded Heathrow, it is certain that the new flights will be running at full capacity.

With more inexpensive short haul flights adding extra convenience to the job of reaching Spain easily from the UK, the appeal to both holiday home owners and rental portfolio investors is sure to increase.

JetXtra and Monarch are also introducing new routes to Spain in 2013 and an increasing number of visitors are also arriving each year from other European countries, most notably those further east.

Although Spain is a well established market for British buyers looking to purchase property in another country, any foreign financial transaction can fall foul of international currency exchange rates.

This is why it is always best to use a special foreign exchange company when you want to send money from UK, as they will be able to give you access to the best rates on the market.
